I think I'm going to work towards getting Google Site Search implemented when I'm not so poor because it costs money. For now, I've added a search box for results so hopefully that helps.
The who's online feature got updated so that it appears all over the online section now in a fixed position. This feature wasn't getting enough exposure I feel so hopefully this helps address this.
There's also a poll feature which is now live - I'll outline how it works: * Competitive users are the only users that can create polls * You can not create a poll if you created the previous poll * A new poll cannot be created until the previous is at least 24 hours old * You cannot see the results for an active poll until you vote, and you cannot change your vote
I'm fully aware that website polls aren't really indicative of anything too serious because they will always only ever ask a subset of the true Australian Smash community, so these are really just here for a bit of fun and to drive regular engagement. If you have a poll you want to create and have a competitive account then by all means create a poll for people to answer.
Bunch of new things with the latest update so I'll list them here.
* massive amount of website optimisations have been implemented which mainly focussed on the online page - my benchmarking for the online page seems to show the average page load down from 2.57 seconds to 1.64 seconds which is nearly a whole second shaved off - getting closer to under 1 second average * All admins will have to logout and login again to get access to the admin panel again - this was done for performance reasons, and you will have a nice surprise when you login * admin can now edit the match score of uploaded results in the admin panel (eg, this match should be 2-1 not 2-0) * elo results which have 0 points awarded (eg: Jaice beats first timer) will now show correctly as a loss for the loser * for the who's online feature, if you set to be online for ten minutes, it would not remove your profile from the online list unless you refreshed the page - now it should fade away in time * there was a bug with banned users whereby they could still post which never really came up because nobody needed to be banned and when I tried to ban boozer he could still post and it made Aero upset - this bug has been fixed and boozer has now been banned.
Baker said: I have a weird bug on the mobile version of the website with shoutouts. Whenever I go to type a shoutout on my phone, i can get the first word out, but the other words I type appear letter by letter, but vanish once the word is autocompleted. It might be a weird interaction with my phone in particular, but qldsmash (particularly the shoutouts submission form) is the only place i've encountered the bug on my device (Samsung Galaxy S3).

Now I'm trying to update the character info for this data and I'm getting 'object refrence not set to an instance of an object' errors. Individual match data seems OK to record but result data is giving me the error message.
If you're still having this issue, can you please let me know again?
There was some pretty hardcore corruption going on in that GUF bracket so its likely there are other matches incorrectly recorded like this.
Can anyone who can see incorrect data for QLD GUF Friday last week post it here. We will probably have to hack something together to persevere elo for matches and even then it may not be in the right chronology.
To allow for time for TOs to upload data after the weekend. This time is often needed tbh. For example the GUF Friday night bracket was corrupted and still hasn't been uploaded while i continue to work with Urisk on this. If it was any earlier then it becomes too rushed especially after things like majors where multiple games of pools need to be recreated manually.
The act of updating Elo site wide is massive and stops the site for about 30 minutes so it can't be done regularly. Also by constraining it to a weekly interval allow us to track weekly change which is very difficult otherwise.
I also liked Azurewolfs feature idea but i want to take it further. Not only do i want to see if someone's results started changing if they switch characters, but i also want to see if they change back how they do which won't be signified by a single mark. Im having a deeper think about how i want this data visualization to work but for now that idea is great i just gotta think through it more.
