The only site I looked to for solace was anything Smash related. I wanted to start attending tournaments and getting into the scene to meet friends (seeing as all my old friends never talk to me anymore), get good at something, and have some sort of hobby. The idea of playing the game and discussing it with others is such an exciting idea.
I mean, I'd love to have involved myself and tried to get one step closer to making myself a better person. but obviously, I'm kidding myself, seeing as Mike has singlehandedly started a shitstorm on my front porch. I can't go to any Australian smash-related site without being told that I'm an awful troll or whatever.
I didn't want to be a troll. I'm not. I just wanted to slip in here, learn the game, and be another nobody with a pasttime and goals.
That's a stupid idea, though, right? Mike has shown me that it's really just full of petty kids who lap up drama whenever it appears with no regards for who's being hurt.
I'm legitimately hurt. Even strangers on the internet hate me.
I guess if I'm not good at video games, what am I really even good at? I can't hold a job or a relationship, and I can't even indulge in a video game without being harassed.

I mean GENERALLY it's frowned upon to leave mid match, there's a reason why there's a "disconnection mid match" stat, and why the game bans you from FG if you keep leaving mid match.
