I've been planning to get one for a long time now, it's just that it's hard for me to convince myself to get a console just for one game. Maybe when more games come out on Wii U that catches my fancy

I picked it up for just smash, ended up getting MK8, Bayo 1+2, Hyrule Warriors, etc. There are a TON of good games on it now, and more to come (Zelda Wii U, etc).
It's super worth it, and I like the Pro Controller a LOT more than the Gamecube (I know, hang the gamecube hating heathen) Mike, have you added me on Wii U? Don't think I've seen your name.

Sadly for some characters it does not. This very much includes the character called dthrow to uair.
Or Ness's dthrow to fair to fair to fair.
At least projectile spam requires spacing, while some of these characters are just like... "oh i landed a grab, enjoy taking 40% damage with nothing you can do about it with minimal thought or effort on my part."

I only realised tonight versing Jlo that fox has that foward throw, fair, up air (i think thats the order)? Such a great combo.

Your captain falcon is coming along nicely. It seems like your fast fall speed allows you to jab my face whenever I hit you with Nair or Utilt at low % and you jab hurts more than mine =(.

Also in regards to combos like diddys or nesses. They annoy me two, not because theres nothing I can do. But because its all they seem to do. Ness is a bad offender "pk fire, d-throw, fair fair" My main problem, with projectile spam is I play falcon and puff, so they have no reason to stop their onslaught of projectiles. But switch to villager, suddenly I'm having a field day over here throwing their full charged samus blasts back at them.
Also, how does this community feel about the fast landing/heavy shoes items or whatever they are. Makes the game play more like melee, I haven't used them but it looks interesting.

Haha yeah Dot, i feel bad. I'm not really feeling it tonight? not sure why. I mean all my go too moves are there, but Im just not bothering with mind games or short hopping or anything. I had a particularly bad experience with a roll spamming samus tonight on for glory. (im shit at punishing rolls, and lag doesn't help) which put me in a bad mood and i've been playing slack ever since.
Good games though, I can't wait till your sheik is on a level equal to your fox. Everything you do as fox seems so planned, and strategic. And im like "LOL spike! what does this button do? *licks 3ds*" over here. GG's tho.

Diddy only gets one uair guaranteed out of dthrow so it's not 40% guaranteed. It becomes even harder to pull aerial strings off as they get into higher percents. There's a reason the top players aren't copping 40% on every single dthrow.

Because if you only burn one jump to get the first uair you can doublejump for a second uair. That keeps them in a worse position than knocking them horizontally with bairs.
