Dean is right, if we need 11 votes for a lynch it's not like it is particularly risky to throw out votes to generate discussion. Thought I suppose historically throwing votes out as a meme or with weak reasoning is often seen as a 'scum play' to make easy votes on townspeople and can be seen negatively.
On a slightly releated note, Laggy is making a lot of sense in his posts and claiming it's because he has improved over the last two years. Clearly he is getting assistance from the mafia in regards to actually posting useful content.

Last game I was going to claim when things got hairy but I got lynched before I had time/remembered to go on again lol, so that's on your for rushing a lynch
What I will do this game is be more active and try to be more insightful. I think I can be decent when I try, it's just that I wasn't invested in the last game or I decide to do something that I think would be neat if it worked out somehow lol but doesn't I think it'd make more sense to pressure those who haven't posted yet, rather someone who has already posted more than some who have contributed so far.

I had an easy town claim but I chose to not reveal yet so to give the other roles a better chance of not being chosen out of the remaining players (being confirmed townie would make it a 2/5 guess instead of 2/6) or whatever it was, but ye I didn't check it often enough and died before being able to claim the role which would've obvs let me stay in the game as a confirmed townie which wouldve been better than being dead lol

The TL;DR is that last game MrL had the firefighter role and when the lynch train was on him he didn't bother to claim or anything and just got himself lynched.
You could argue that there was no proof of him having the role but any townsperson with some sort of role is probably better off claiming before getting themselves lynched even if the role is useless.
For those of you who are new, the firefighter role allows you to use water on a player during the night phase which protects that player from being killed by an arsonist (third party killer role similar to serial killer). In a game without an arsonist the firefighter role is almost completely useless. It commonly gets used as a meme in Aussmash mafia games since many of our games involve power roles and for game balance the mods tend to make some useless roles for some town players.
Hey I bet there's a firefighter in this game too. The real plot twist would be if there is actually an arsonist for once.
In any case, it's kind of harsh to put a bunch of votes on him to defend himself from a previous game but I suppose policy lynching someone based on previous performances is as good a reason as anyone will be able to come up with.
In the meantime though we should get some pressure on people who haven't posted much right? I think DD is pretty much the only one who hasn't posted yet unless I'm missing anyone else.

Incidentally for those wondering why this would have been a safe claim, there would have only been two scenarios had he actually claimed firefighter.
The two scenarios would have been: 1) You are firefighter and claim it. Mafia would be extremely unlikely to counterclaim a useless role such as this, otherwise it would confirm them as a lynch target for next day.
2) You were mafia, using firefighter as a fake claim. The real firefighter would likely counterclaim. Assuming you were mafia, this would either result in you still being lynched or you successfully killing the real firefighter. You would 99% get lynched the next day though.
So despite the fact that the firefighter role essentially does nothing of value in a game without an arsonist in a case like this he actually could have used it to soft-confirm himself as town.
Oh, and in the last game all of the power roles that were in the game were confirmed in the rules by the mods. This is an important distinction compared to this game because if you were to claim a particular role right now there is actually no proof that what you are claiming is even a real thing.

I am currently at the airport about to leave for Hawaii. I will try to stay active but there will be a few silences from me. I wasnt actually entirely sure what to expect from this but I will be back in aus on the 31st. Sorry to mess with the game.
My only defence for Mr L is that if we lynch him now, there will be no classics Ben Gold antics to immortalise this game.
I don't really know enough of the players to have suspicions about anyone atm, but I've played enough offline mafia (without all these wacky special roles) to think that we should lynch.
